Learning is just beginning.......
I think this article is very thought provoking, on one hand it is talking about new and evolving education and on the other hand it is saying there is nothing better than face to face universities.
I think the article had some great points for us as educators, to consider and embrace. We need to believe in the students, give them the tools to investigate their own learning, and not just fill them with answers.
We need to make sure we prepare them for the 'everyday surprises', teach at the point of need, encourage them to solve interesting problems, and adapt to the learning styles of our students.
An interesting thought was the notion of students not adapting to the system, but the system adapting to students. Is this what they will find in the workforce?
I think learning has begun, but is evolving!
Thanks Brooke - good question - will they find it in the workforce? They tell us that many current jobs will be gone and new ones will evolve!
